The Office of Student Affairs keeps campus buzzing with activity all quarter long. Plus, our students are active citizens of Salt Lake City.

In addition, our project-based approach to learning means there are regular academic events to help students achieve academic, political, civic, and professional success.

OPEN CAMPUS DAY

You're invited to get to know us in person. Visitors at our January event will have an opportunity to attend Capstone Project Invitational, tour the Neumont campus and check out the onsite student housing. Visitors must register to attend this event.

Culinary series
  • Thursdays throughout the quarter starting January 11 at 7 p.m.
  • Students teach each other how to cook
  • Various locations.

  • Friday, January 5, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Play rhythm-based games and sing karaoke

Learn to ski & snowboard workshop
  • Wednesday, January 10, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m..
  • Room 007
  • Plan trips to learn to ski and snowboard this winter

CASINO NIGHT 
  • Friday, January 12, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The Commons
  • Play analog and virtual casino games with a raffle every 30 minutes to win gift cards.
  • Contact JP to volunteer as a dealer for games like blackjack, roulette, and more.

CAREER WEEK
  • February 12 - 16, 2018
  • Tech Talks at 12 p.m. in Room 323
  • Current students and alumni are invited to attend all Tech Talks
  • Seating and lunch is provided on a first-come, first-served basis
  • On-campus interviews and other networking events take place throughout the week

COMMUNITY EVENTS:

CAPSTONE PROJECT INVITATIONAL
  • Friday, January 12, 2018
  • 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Salt Lake City Public Library
  • Students with the best Capstone Projects from the previous academic year will present their projects to a panel of alumni and industry partners
PROJECT SHOWCASE
  • Friday, March 9, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Neumont College of Computer Science
  • Students present their latest projects to alumni, students, staff, faculty, and the public in a friendly competition
FReX, Accepted Student Weekend
  • April 6 -7, 2018
  • Neumont College of Computer Science & The Little America Hotel
  • Accepted students and their parents are invited to this two-day event to get to know Neumont and Salt Lake City
COMMENCEMENT
  • Friday, August 31, 2018
  • Details to be determined
  • Graduates and their parent(s)/guardian(s) or spouse are invited to participate in the commencement ceremony

HOSTING YOUR EVENT AT NEUMONT


Neumont allows limited access to our facility to technology user groups under the following conditions:

  • Neumont students and faculty are welcome to attend.
  • Meeting must not require extensive rearrangement of furniture and all food and/or garbage must be cleaned up.
  • Projectors and wireless login are available in “as is” condition. No IT support is provided.
  • The event cannot begin before 5 p.m. and must be complete by 9 p.m. while classes are in session.
