Salt Lake City, March 2, 2015—Neumont University, an accredited institution that grants bachelor’s degrees in computer science and related disciplines in three years, is pleased to announce Eve Andersson, Senior Manager of Accessibility Engineering at Google Research as this year’s commencement ceremony keynote speaker.
“We’re elated to have Ms. Andersson, a former Neumont staff member, as our speaker this year,” said Edward Levine, President of Neumont University. “As one of the first employees at Neumont, she was instrumental in developing the innovative project-oriented curriculum that has helped make Neumont the university it is today. Her experience at Google gives her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the tech-industry and computer science related fields. Our graduates and their families will enjoy hearing her insights.”
Neumont University’s commencement takes place Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the Libby Gardner Concert Hall at 1375 Presidents Circle in Salt Lake City, UT 84112. Students, graduates, friends and family are invited to attend the event.
ABOUT EVE ANDERSSON
Eve Andersson has held numerous management and leadership positions within Google since 2007. Currently, she leads Google’s accessibility charge to develop state-of-the-art software to improve the lives of people with sight and other impairments. Prior to her work at Google, Andersson served as a senior vice president at Neumont University, and was recognized in Forbes Magazine, by name, in July 2006, as one of the pioneers behind the innovative learning model created at Neumont. She has a Bachelor of Science, Engineering and Applied Science, from the California Institute of Technology, and advanced degrees from University of California at Berkeley and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She speaks at conferences and world-wide events, inside and outside of Google focused on a variety of topics including project management, data visualization, statistics, leadership, accessibility and analytics and in 2012 was featured as a TEDx speaker.
